Renee Miller

Renee Miller is an independent school educator and professional developer with 15 years of teaching experience. She is currently a 3rd grade teacher and Math Specialist at Park Day School in Oakland. She has worked as a Professional Development Consultant for Math Solutions, to help teachers gain insights into the ways children learn best. In the fall of 2011, Renee joined the Agency by Design working group to further explore her interests in maker education in a classroom setting. Renee is most interested in the depth of learning and new ideas that systems thinking and making bring to her students’ learning. Working to develop instructional strategies and tools to help students think critically about the design of ideas and systems is currently what brings Renee the most joy in her teaching.
